The safety and health of our community, including residents, families, and staff, is always of the utmost importance to us. As such, we are taking the concerns associated with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) very seriously and are monitoring this rapidly evolving situation.
Dear Cambridge Village of Wilmington Residents and Families,
Due to the growing nature and spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the United States, Cambridge Village has made the decision to put the following guidelines in place.Please understand we cannot police every situation and we need your help to make the right choice to help keep the community safe.We need your assistance to adhere to the recommendations and policies that are in place.We strongly believe by taking these measures now, we will all get back to more normal activities in a shorter amount of time.Below are additional changes since the previous letter that was sent out on 3/18.
We strongly advise that residents do not leave the community unless medically necessary.
From this point forward, if a resident chooses to leave the community to visit family or friends, we ask that you stay with family and not return to the community until restrictions have lifted.
Medical Appointments – we strongly encourage you to reschedule any non-essential doctor appointments.We understand some appointments are necessary and we will allow you to leave for these appointments.
Groceries can continue to be dropped off for residents and our staff will delivery.If you need our staff to pick up groceries for you please call the reception desk and we can discuss further.
No Non-Essential Visitation:
Visitation to the community is now limited to essential staff and healthcare providers.
Family-related caregivers must be pre-approved and will be required to sign documentation to ensure best practices while outside of the community in order to continue visitation.
We ask that families do not come to the community to visit, even if sitting outside.We need to do everything we can to limit exposure.
Staffing on-site will be limited to essential personnel.

Our restaurant will continue to operate with the to-go system that started on 3/14. We will continue to update the recording on your phone daily to notify you of menu options. These menus are subject to change based on food availability.
Please only use the to-go phone number for DELIVERIES
We are selling items like toilet paper, paper towels, desserts, prewrapped snacks, breakfast items, and more in the restaurant.
All group exercise class are cancelled effective immediately.
The wellness center is still open for resident use
Transportation will be exclusively for urgent medical needs.
If you begin to experience signs of upper respiratory/fever symptoms, reach out to the front desk, Interim, or Neighbor Health.
Our goal is to be proactive during this time and stay ahead of the virus. Our Executives from our Corporate office, Apex location, and I are on conference calls twice a day making sure we are taking the steps required to limit the chance of COVID-19 impacting our community. Restrictions are subject to change at any time. We will continue to keep you informed as decisions are made.
